What was the original 'church' like? How did it grow into what it is today? What we can do to return to what the Lord gave to the church through his apostles? And is there any legitimacy to conventional churches as they've come to be today?

Hello,

The origional Church was Christ centred, they lived and moved as a body , the body of Christ with Christ as their head. they were not hindered by a religious syatem that quenched them from hearing and sharing Christ in the meetings and the truth he gives.

To get back to this we need first to gather around Christ as the centre in us and with us and hear him. As the father said to peter when Moses and Elijah vanished and they saw only Christ, he told them to listen to Christ his beloved Son.

To get back to the bady life with Christ as the head begins in our heart and we need to pray that God would help us to gather with him and other members of the body. That he would direct us to where we should be in him. God does the building and we need to hear his direction.

Sadly , many are hinderd from dong this, they are bound up in a man made system that quenches the spirit and hinders Christ from speaking in and through his body. The devil has sought to bind up Christ again and stop his ministry through his body. But the gates of hell will not prvail.

Start by waiting, then seeking, asking, knowcking. and doing.

in Christ,

Bruce Downey

Does this sentiment match what we know from the earliest extant records of Christian organization; i.e., the Didache?

They will understand God's Law, they will understand the difference of what was nailed to the stake, they will know the difference between
God's Law, and man's proposed law,

Ten Commandments (Moral Law) Ceremonial Law {the temporary law for sin offering "the ordinances)

http://gdtr.topcities.com/life/chart.html

They will be keeping the Ten Commandments, as revealed by God, codified by Moses, and ratified and magnified by Christ, are the perfect expression of God's love. They are the foundation of all biblical teaching, showing man how to express love toward God and fellowman, and are consequently the focal point of Christian life. Exodus 20; Deuteronomy 5; Matthew 5:17-19; Romans 13:10; I Corinthians 7:19; Revelation 12:17; 22:14

They will be keeping the seventh-day Sabbath is to be taught and kept holy in accordance with the biblical instruction. Instituted at creation, reaffirmed to Israel as a part of the covenant at Sinai, and taught by Jesus Christ, who is the Messenger of the New Covenant, the observance of the Sabbath is basic to a Christian's relationship with God. Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 16; 20:8-11; 31:12-1 7; Mark 2:27-28; Luke 4:16

They will be keeping the annual holy days were ordained by God, kept by the ancient Israelites, and continued by the early New Testament Christians. These seven annual "appointed feasts" picture God's plan of salvation for man. Leviticus 23; Zechariah 14:16; John 7:8-10 Acts 2:1; 12:3; 20:6, 16; 27:9; I Corinthians 5:8; 16:8

They will know sin is the transgression of God's law--the falling short or missing the mark of the character of Jesus Christ. Although the penalty for sin is death in the lake of fire, all sin can be completely forgiven by God, who desires that all men be saved. (The unpardonable sin is a sin for which the sinner asks no pardon.) God forgives sin upon the repentance of the individual who accepts the shed blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ as payment in full for the penalty of his sins. Romans 6.ยท23; Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 1:14; I John 3:4

They will know the church is the spiritual body of Christ, a group of persons called out by God and impregnated with His Holy Spirit. As a spiritual body, the church is made up of baptized, Spirit-led individuals who are scattered around the world. I Corinthians 12:12-14, 27; Colossians 3:15

They will despise evil.
They will be obeying God rather than man.
